Fu-Schnickens – La shmoove
The Fu-Schnickens were a hip-hop trio in the early 1990s. Similar to Das EFX for their cartoonish lyrics and near-constant allusions to pop culture staples, the Fu-Schnickens’ popularity was brief but significant in hip hop history. Their best known track is 1993’s “What’s Up Doc? (Can We Rock),” which featured basketball star Shaquille O’Neal (Shaq Fu), which was a Top 40 hit.

Critical Point feat. Vikter Duplaix – Messages (Main Mix)
A songwriter, producer, singer, and DJ, Vikter Duplaix is originally from Philadelphia and remains highly connected to the Philly soul movement. In the 90s Duplaix worked primarily as a producer working on records for Erykah Badu, Musiq, and Jaguar Wright.
A friendship with Philly DJ King Britt led to an immersion in modern dance music. He contributed vocals to Britt’s Scuba project (Swell) and soon was producing his own material; underground singles like “Messages,” “Manhood,” and “Sensuality” went over well with house DJs, including Masters at Work, who gave “Sensuality” a big push. -

Hot Chip – One Pure Thought
Hot Chip are an electronic/dance band which formed in London, England, United Kingdom in 2000. It consists of Alexis Taylor (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Joe Goddard (vocals, synths, percussion), Al Doyle (guitar, vocals), Owen Clarke (synths, guitar) and Felix Martin (percussion). The combination of Taylor’s ethereal, high-pitched vocals with Goddard’s warm, low pitch and the band’s blip-blop electronics creates a dreamy sound. The band is best known for the hit singles “Over And Over” (2006) and “Ready For The Floor” (2008).

:: George Carlin – The ten commandments
I have a problem with the Ten Commandments. Here it is: Why are there ten? We don’t need that many. I think the list of commandments was deliberately and artificially inflated to get it up to ten. It’s clearly a padded list.
