    Fu-Schnickens – La shmoove
    The Fu-Schnickens were a hip-hop trio in the early 1990s. Similar to Das EFX for their cartoonish lyrics and near-constant allusions to pop culture staples, the Fu-Schnickens’ popularity was brief but significant in hip hop history. Their best known track is 1993’s “What’s Up Doc? (Can We Rock),” which featured basketball star Shaquille O’Neal (Shaq Fu), which was a Top 40 hit.

    Mele Mel, also known as Melle Mel (born Melvin Glover on May 15, 1961 in The Bronx, New York) is a legendary hip-hop musician, one of the pioneers of old school hip hop as a lyricist & as lead rapper of Grandmaster Flash & the Furious Five. He is the first rapper ever to call himself “MC”. Other Furious Five members included his brother Kid Creole (Nathaniel Glover), Scorpio (Eddie Morris), Rahiem (Guy Todd Williams) & Cowboy (Keith Wiggins).

    Gang Starr was an influential American hip-hop duo, composed of late rapper Guru (Backronym for Gifted Unlimited Rhymes Universal, real name Keith Elam) and DJ Premier (real name Chris Martin). Premier originally from Houston and Guru from Boston, but they are now based in and represent Brooklyn, New York, epitomizing the New York City hip-hop sound.
